Work area and the type of responsibilities:
I’m a teacher and the director of the Multimedia Vocational Course at Escola Secundária D Pedro v in Lisbon.
As a teacher in a vocational course where creativity is put into practice using ICT, the themes of the selected visits are of particular interest to my teaching practice.
I’m also finalizing my Master’s research work, whose theme is “Thinking problems, creating solutions – using the methodology of problem solving leaning in the development of creative thinking.”
As the Multimedia Vocational Course Director, I’m responsible for the coordination of learning activities that more linked to the development of competences related to the trainees’ job profile.
It’s also my responsibility to organize and implement the activities concerning training in a working context, to develop partnerships with enterprises and to organize and monitor trainees’ placements.
Motivation:
The themes are connected with my daily practice at school: when trainees develop competences that are recognized by labour market, it’s a step towards employment.
When there’s a link between creativity and ICT we are modernizing school. New ideas and pedagogical processes make the learning process more meaningful.
Expected impact:
I think that international mobility has impact at individual and institutional level.
At personal level the sharing of knowledge with other participants will allow me to be more aware of new practices, which can be adapted and adopted here.
At school level, my participation in a CEDEFOP study visit is integrated in the educative school project: school is developing different strategies towards internationalization (this school year we are hosting a Comenius assistant from Finland and we are developing a mobility project with France).
The medium term objectives of having participants in the study visits are:
- to improve quality of vocational courses;
- to develop the knowledge and competences of vocational courses coordinatos and directors;
- to share knowledge, experiences and good practices with other countries.
In the long term, I mean 2 or 3 years, we intend to use the network built during the sudy visits to promote placements of trainees in EU.
"School of the future:
how to innovate through creativity and ICT" a decorrer em
Iglesias - Sardenha, no
Istituto Istruzione Superiore “Giorgio Asproni”
Category of themes:
Promote acquisition of key competences throughout the education and training system
Why ?
Sardinian schools, thanks to a regional plan, will be supplied with whiteboards, tablets and online resources in every classroom. The IIS Asproni of Iglesias is one of the first schools experimenting with this innovation. The school of the future will require a new approach to learning, new settings and most of all creative methodologies that exploit ICT to their full.
Different learning styles need different teaching approaches to create a motivated learner.
Hands-on experience and social learning are important. Creative use of ICT can create a community of learners, ready to cooperate and learn from one another. Science and art meet again to help students promote a learning environment primarily based on observation of natural phenomena, where students and not books are at the centre of the process.

Short descrip tion in the host coun try’s language:
